Course Goals
-
This course is designed to teach principles of safe driving that may reduce your risk for a traffic accident.
-
The course is also intended to help drivers reduce their risk for accumulating additional driver's "points" which may result in loss of driving privileges. Each topic is designed to increase awareness about principles of traffic safety.
Course Requirements
-
Minimum Time on Course: You are required to spend a least six (6) hours on this course if you are providing proof of completion to the Idaho Department of Transportation. Other states may have different minimum requirements. Each topic is timed so that logging off before meeting the required minimum time limit will result in lost credit for that lesson. "Time spent on lesson" will show how much time you have spent on the lesson or topic after completing a review question.
-
You do not have to complete the entire course in one sitting, but it is a good idea to fully complete a topic before logging off so that you receive credit for that topic before moving on. There are ten graded topics.
-
Complete within 30 days. If you do not complete within 30 days, the program will unenroll you from the course, causing you to lose credi for topics already completed.
-
Identity Verification Questions: You will be asked questions throughout this course to verify your identity. You must correctly answer the identity question before you can proceed to the next section or question. When you registered for this course, you provided answers to ten personal questions that will be used to verify your identity. These questions will appear randomly and must be answered correctly in order for you to continue in the course. Failure to answer these questions correctly will result in a security disqualification from the course. This information cannot be shared with anyone else.
-
Getting Credit for Your Course: It is your responsibility to provide a copy of the course Certificate of Completion to the Idaho Transportation Department. To receive credit you must provide your name, driver's license number, date of birth and a copy of the certificate to:
